The history of the petroleum industry offers a vital context for understanding today's complex issues of meeting America's future energy challenges.

Through its website, publications and conferences, the American Oil & Gas Historical Society (AOGHS) promotes organizations that preserve the 150-year history of exploration and production. Since 2003, the society has provided reliable educational resources, including community museums, educators and state and regional experts.

Your comments and suggestions are welcome -- as is any financial support. Please help expand AOGHS its energy education outreach to teachers and students.
